This handy little calculator is designed to help you understand the angles and distance to clear fixed objects such as buildings, trees, powerlines, and so on. Enter in the proper values (and they can be in feet or meters) and press "Calculate" and the page will return the appropriate distances from an object to be able to see over it to the satellite.
